TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO HESITATE. THERE WAS A NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE DROVE AS IF IT WAS STUCK IN THE NEUTRAL WHILE HIS THE WIFE TRIED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS GUIDED OFF THE ROAD AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. ABERNETHY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (1442 E MAIN ST, LINCOLNTON, NC 28092, (704) 732-1890) STATED THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND ALL PAST RECALLS HAD BEEN REPAIRED. ANOTHER UNKNOWN DEALER SAID THE SAME AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AS A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION PUMP. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
