Consumer Description

CAR WAS TRAVELING ON PUBLIC ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 50MPH WHEN TRANSMISSION SHIFTED TO NUETRAL AND ENGINE SHUT OFF CAUSING LOOSE OF CONTROL AND CAR LEFT ROADWAY ONTO GRASS SHOULDER AND INTO DITCH. NO STEERING AND NO BRAKES. NO INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP 5 OR 6 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION REPAIRS SINCE PURCHASE. CURRENTLY CAR WILL NOT START OR RUN DUE TO WARNING ON SCREEN SAYING "PARKING AID MALFUNCTION SERVICE REQUIRED". HAVE CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. HAVEN'T GOTTEN MUCH ASSISTANCE FROM EITHER CONCERNING THIS MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND HAS ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN BECAUSE OF IT
