Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, A SECOND VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. DURING THE CRASH, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT INFLATE AND IMPROPERLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED AWAY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED NECK, BACK, AND LEFT SHOULDER INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: 2019000010196 WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
