Consumer Description

TOOK CAR TO HONDA DEALER DUE TO A GRINDING NOISE THAT'S HEARD COMING FROM MY WHEELS WHEN DRIVING SLOWLY. AFTER LOOKING AT THE CAR, THE HONDA TECH CONFIRMED THAT IT'S THE CONTINENTAL TIRES/HONDA SPORT MODEL 19" WHEEL COMBO THAT'S THE ISSUE. THE BEAD ON THE FACTORY TIRES USED CREATES A RUBBING SOUND THAT SOUNDS LIKE BRAKES GRINDING ON THE ROTORS. THEY SAID THEY HAVE RECEIVED MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SINCE THIS MODEL CAME OUT. I FIND IT RIDICULOUS THAT I WAS TOLD THIS WAS OK AND A KNOWN ISSUE BUT NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. MY LEASE ENDS SOON AND I WAS PLANNING ON BUYING THE CAR BUT NOW PROBABLY NOT. I'VE BEEN A HONDA DRIVER FOR OVER 25 YEARS...MAY HAVE TO MOVE OVER TO TOYOTA.
