Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, THE GEAR FAILED TO ENGAGE PROPERLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL LUKE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (2425 W CAMELBACK RD, PHOENIX, AZ 85015, (602) 249-1234) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY TERMINAL AND FUSE BOX FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.
