Consumer Description

WHILE IT IS STATIONARY, THE TAILGATE CANNOT BE OPEN EXTERNALLY WHEN IN COLD TEMPERATURE LIKE 35 DEGREES. THERE IS NO WAY TO OPEN IT INSIDE AND THUS NO WAY TO ESCAPE THROUGH THE TAILGATE FROM INSIDE. NOT SAFE. HERE ARE LINKS FOR COMPLAINTS. IT HAPPENS TO 2012 TO 2016 AND EVEN 2019 ON HRV MODELS. AFTER READING COMPLAINTS, THE ONLY SOLUTION IS A REPLACEMENT OF THE SWITCH. THEY SAID IT STOPPED WORKING AGAIN EVEN AFTER REPLACING IT. I DON'T WANT TO SPEND MONEY FOR DIAGNOSITICS AND REPAIRS UNTIL IT WORKS FOR GOOD. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS.
