Consumer Description

TL* THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT WHILE THEY WERE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO JERK AND HESITATE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONSUMER CALLED SUPERIOR FORD OF PLYMOUTH (9705 56TH AVE N, PLYMOUTH, MN 55442, (877) 735-4755) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME DEALER CALIBRATED THE VEHICLE A YEAR AGO, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,000. *BF *AS
