Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER TRAIN INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000. *BF VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO VALLEY FORD (WAVERLY, OH) WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED UNDER THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE AIR FILTER HOSE KEPT COMING OFF BECAUSE IT WAS TOO SHORT. CONSUMER STRETCHED THE HOSE TO KEEP IT FROM COMING OFF. CONSUMER STATES THAT THIS MIGHT BE THE CAUSE OF THE THROTTLE BODY FAILURE. *DL
