Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HYUNDAI VELOSTER. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE WITH THE POWER STEERING AND STEERING COLUMN BUSHING. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY AND JERKED TO THE LEFT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE FAILURE, BUT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED TIRE DAMAGE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO F1 AUTO SALES (1336 FORT CAMPBELL BLVD, CLARKSVILLE, TN 37042, (931) 919-4744) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,990.
