Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE SPEED WOULD NOT EXCEED 20 MPH; HOWEVER, THE RPMS REVVED HIGHLY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
