Consumer Description

WAS DRIVING MY 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE AND A STEERING WHEEL WITH AN EXCLAMATION ICON POPPED UP ON THE DASH AND I RECEIVED A WARNING TO SERVICE THE POWER STEERING. THEN A TRACTION ICON LIT UP AND IMMEDIATELY THE STEERING WHEEL STIFFENED AND I COULDN'T STEER; I WAS GOING 65MPH ON THE HIGHWAY! I ATTEMPTED TO TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM BUT IT'S ELECTRIC POWER STEERING AND THERE'S NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR CODES TO SCAN. I'M CURRENTLY WAITING FOR A FLATBED TO TOW THE JEEP BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AGO. CHRYSLER SAID THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS ISSUE AND IT'S NOT PART OF ANY RECALL SO THIS WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO REPAIR.
