Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES MADE A GRINDING SOUND, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD AND REQUIRED EXCESSIVE FORCE, AND THE VEHICLE TOOK LONGER TO STOP. IN ADDITION, THE REMOTE START AND AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY, AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE BRAKES WERE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,280.
