TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING OVER 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED ON ITS OWN. THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOUR TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. WEBBER FAMILY MOTORS (1389 WENNER RD, DETROIT LAKES, MN 56501, (218) 325-4610) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. A LOANER VEHICLE WAS PROVIDED. THE DEALER OFFERED THE CONTACT A BUY BACK OR TRADE-IN OPTION. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND WAS TO RESPOND TO THE DEALER AND OWNER. THE OWNER HAD PARKED THE VEHICLE FOR MONTHS. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,200.
