TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DURING A ROUTINE CHECK-UP, AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUB-FRAME WAS COMPLETELY CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE COLONIAL FORD, INC DEALER (508-746-3400, 147 SAMOSET ST, PLYMOUTH, MA 02360) WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE SUB FRAME WAS ROTTED OUT. THE TECHNICIAN, HOWEVER, STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,031.
