TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI GENESIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER DID NOT ENGAGE IN DRIVE AND SEIZED COMPLETELY. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JOHN AMATO HYUNDAI (414-357-8500, LOCATED AT 8301 N 76TH ST, MILWAUKEE, WI 53223) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER GEAR WAS CORRODED. THE TECHNICIAN CLEANED THE GEAR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,259. *DT *DT*JB
