Consumer Description

INADVERTANT TAILGATE OPENING. I HAVE A 2019 FORD F-350 LARIAT SUPER DUTY. THE TAILGATE HAS OPENED 4 TIMES WITHIN THE FIRST 800 MILES OF OPERATION. THERE IS NO ALERT SYSTEM IN THE CASB TO ALERT THE DRIVER THE TAILGATE HAS OPENED. THE ONLY INDICATION IS AN ALERT WHILE BACKING TO CHECK THE AREA. I HAVE A TONEAU COVER OVER THE TRUCK BED THAT OBSTRUCTS THE REAR CAMERA FROM ALERTING THE DRIVER. I WAS UNAWARE THE TAILGATE WAS OPEN WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. FORTUNATELY NOTHING FELL OUT DURING THE TRIPS. THIS OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND DIFFERENT MILEAGES.
