Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE FAILURES PROGRESSING WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND BEGAN TO STALL. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL GAUGE WAS NOT DISPLAYING THE CORRECT FUEL AMOUNT. WOODY ANDERSON FORD (2500 JORDAN LN NW, HUNTSVILLE, AL 35810, (877) 315-0514) REPLACED THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO MORE THAN ONE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), BUT IT WAS UNSURE IF THE FAILURES WERE RELATED. THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
