Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE REAR WHEELS SEIZED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD IT TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V796000 (POWER TRAIN) AND THE CONTACT CALLED BODWELL CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (169 PLEASANT ST, BRUNSWICK, ME 04011, (207) 729-3375). THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THEIR FACILITY. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THERE WERE NO LOANER VEHICLES AVAILABLE AND THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 208,000.
