Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. AFTER SWITCHING THE GEAR INTO PARK, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY BEGAN TO MOVE IN REVERSE. THE GEAR DISPLAY ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ALSO INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE. UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE HAD DETACHED FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (SUN STATE FORD, 3535 WEST COLONIAL DR, ORLANDO, FL) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
