Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE POWER OPERATED DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED BACK AND FORTH INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER OPERATED DRIVER'S SEAT PRESSED THE DRIVER AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL AND MOVED BACKWARDS, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE DRIVER TO ACCESS THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS. ROD HATFIELD CHEVROLET (232 NEW CIRCLE ROAD, LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY 40505, (859) 274-4289) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,200.
