Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCEDES-BENZ E350. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE FUEL SYSTEM FAILED. WHEN THE CONTACT FILLED THE FUEL TANK, FUEL ENTERED INTO THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AFTER THE FUEL TANK WAS FILLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED. DICK DYER & ASSOCIATES (5825 TWO NOTCH COLUMBIA RD, SOUTH CAROLINA 29223, (803) 786-8888) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED TSB NUMBER: P-47-10-63. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000. *DT UPDATED 12/06/18*JB
