Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED FOLLOWED BY THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION SOON WARNING INDICATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. KEARNY PEARSON FORD (LOCATED AT 7303 CLAIREMONT MESA BLVD, SAN DIEGO, CA 92111, (858) 560-5544), WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE MAY BE DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, AND THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO CONFIRM THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
