Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 35 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO MOVE AND THERE WAS POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING AND RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,266.
