Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK AND THE GEAR SHIFTER DISPLAYED A DIFFERENT GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JOHNSON BROTHERS FORD (7455 SOUTH GENERAL BRUCE DR, TEMPLE, TX 76502, (254) 773-5257) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BUSHINGS AND SHIFTER CABLE FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL AND RECOMMENDED THAT A DEALER DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
