Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR LOCKS FAILED TO SECURE AND WERE LOCKING AND UNLOCKING RANDOMLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE DEALER (GOODSON HONDA IN HOUSTON, TX) INDICATED THAT THEY SERVICED THE VEHICLE PER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN (A14-083) PRODUCT UPDATE REGARDING THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR; HOWEVER, THE REMEDY WAS NOT A PERMANENT SOLUTION. SHORTLY AFTER THE DEALER'S REPAIR, THE OTHER THREE DOORS MADE A CLICKING NOISE, AND LOCKED AND UNLOCKED MORE FREQUENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
