Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI GENESIS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND SHUT OFF. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN PARK AND RESTARTED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE SAFFORD HYUNDAI OF SPRINGFIELD DEALER AT 703-776-9040 (LOCATED AT 7615 LOISDALE RD A, SPRINGFIELD, VA 22150) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE COULD BE THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE NUMBER WAS PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER'S CONSUMER AFFAIRS DIVISION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
