TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE ORIGINATED FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED, AND WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
