TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER STEERING ABILITY THAT CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE DEALER (TED BRITT FORD, 11165 FAIRFAX BLVD, FAIRFAX, VA 22030, (703) 591-8484 OR 1-(866) 224-7068) INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V284000 (STEERING) FOR THE 2008-2011 MODELS AND WOULD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY OTHER THAN HAVING THE DEALER REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED ONE TSB FOR THE STEERING CONCERNING THIS YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL VEHICLE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *TT *TR
