Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DOORS WOULD NOT UNLOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (NAPLETON AUTO WERKS, 6600 E RIVERSIDE BLVD, LOVES PARK, IL 61111, (815) 636-6600) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL FOR THE FAILURE HAD EXPIRED; THEREFORE, THEY COULD NOT SERVICE THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING OVER 10 MPH, THE DOORS WOULD UNLOCK AND RELOCK ON THEIR OWN. THE SAME DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LOCKING MECHANISMS WERE DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE, NHTSA CAMPAIGN INFORMATION, AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
