TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) MONTHS AGO. THE DEALER (BROWN'S JEEP CHRYSLER DODGE RAM, 483 NY-112, EAST PATCHOGUE, NY 11772, (631) 289-8500) WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE REMEDY AND PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY PLACED THE CONTACT ON A WAITING LIST FOR THE PART, BUT DID NOT SPECIFY WHAT NUMBER THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON THE LIST. WHILE WAITING FOR THE PART, A FAILURE PROGRESSED THAT CAUSED THE KEY NOT TO TURN OVER TO START THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD SEVEN TSBS ON THE ENGINE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
