Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW X3. THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING ODOR FOR MORE THAN TWO MONTHS IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V683000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE DEALER (TOM HESSER BMW, 1001 N WASHINGTON AVE, SCRANTON, PA 18504, (570) 343-1221) WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE REMEDY AND PARTS WOULD BE SUPPLIED FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE OPTION OF A LOANER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN AS TO WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED TO DETERMINE WHEN THE REMEDY AND PARTS WOULD BE SUPPLIED FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
