Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 BUICK ENCLAVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE BEGAN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STEERING THAT PROGRESSIVELY BECAME WORSE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE OR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
