TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE STALLING, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL VIBRATION WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALER (MOLLE VOLKSWAGEN, 808 W 103RD ST, KANSAS CITY, MO 64114, (816) 941-9500) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIMING BELT FRACTURED, WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE AND TURBO CHARGER TO BE DESTROYED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE WAS IRREPARABLY DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
