Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF THROTTLE RESPONSE WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. AFTER SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF AND BACK ON, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (FRIENDLY FORD IN LAS VEGAS, NV) AND A MODULE WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED, THE VEHICLE IDLED VERY HIGHLY UNTIL THE ENGINE WARMED UP. ALSO, THE BRAKES WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO GRADUALLY STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT NO FAILURES WERE FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
