Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI GENESIS. WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES AND COMING TO A STOP, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE AIR CONDITIONING FAN CONTINUED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION HYUNDAI LOCATED IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED AND NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 172,000.
