Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK AND THE TRACTION AND TWO OTHER UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWIN CITY HONDA (10545 MEMORIAL BLVD, PORT ARTHUR, TX 77640 (409) 981-1220), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE CONTACT INQUIRED IF THE FAILURE COULD BE A FUSE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUSES WERE CHECKED, BUT NO ISSUES WERE FOUND. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A CHRYSLER DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE WITH MIDCOUNTY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (8181 MEMORIAL BLVD, PORT ARTHUR, TX 77640 (409) 877-5024) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT SHE RESEARCHED RECALLS ONLINE AND FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V668000 (SEAT BELTS, AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUES AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,600. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
