TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE FRONTAL AIR BAG DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT ROCKLAND TOYOTA LOCATED AT: 618 NEW YORK ROUTE 303, BLAUVELT, NY 10913, (845) 367-4219, UNDER THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V28500 (AIR BAGS) IN DECEMBER OF 2016. LIA TOYOTA OF ROCKLAND WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
