Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD WINSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOWN AND COUNTRY FORD IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V385000 (SUSPENSION). THE MECHANIC NOTICED SEVERE RUST ON THE AXLE AREA OF THE REAR SUSPENSION. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE AND THE CO-PAY RECALL WAS NOT PERFORMED BECAUSE IT EXPIRED IN OCTOBER OF 2016. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,116.
