Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO EXAMINED THE BRAKES AND REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A COMPUTER FAILURE CAUSED THE BRAKES TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
