Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE ISSUE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V668000 (SEAT BELTS, AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT OWNERS WOULD RECEIVE A SECOND NOTICE WHEN REMEDY PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE IN JUNE OF 2017. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
