Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT 70 MPH AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE TRANSMISSION SEEMED TO LOCK, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STOP ON THE FREEWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
