Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ENVOY. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE HEAD LAMPS TURNED OFF WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V519000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000. UPDATED 10/18/16*LJ THE DEALER REPLACED THE RELAY. UPDATED 10/19/16.*JB
