Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD EXPLORER. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AT 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND AND STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE SERVICE VEHICLE SOON AND AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
