Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMMANDER. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V567000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), IT FAILED TO START. IN ADDITION, THE KEYS FAILED TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS. "BAD KEY" WAS DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE KEYS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE KEYS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
