Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V604000 (SUSPENSION). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS CORROSION AROUND THE ATTACHMENT AREA OF THE LEAF SPRINGS. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE SUBFRAME WAS PREVIOUSLY SPRAYED WITH AN ANTI-CORROSION AGENT UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
