Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING FROM A COMPLETE STOP, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO VIBRATE AND JERK UNCONTROLLABLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,500.
