Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SYSTEM OVERHEAT LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, WHICH INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED. THE THERMOSTAT INDICATOR INDICATED THAT THE COOLANT SYSTEM WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, TIMING CHAIN, FUEL LINES, AND UPDATED THE SOFTWARE; HOWEVER, THE REPAIRS DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
