Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD WINDSTAR. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE. THE CONTACT PROCEEDED TO DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD AND THE NOISE CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
