Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND A SPRAINED LEFT WRIST THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED SEAT BELT LACERATIONS THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND LATER TO A BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000. MA 09/29 *CN
