Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR AJAR SENSOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED INDICATING THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS AJAR ALTHOUGH THE DOOR WAS CLOSED AND SECURED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THE DOME LIGHT WOULD ALSO REMAIN ON CAUSING POOR VISIBILITY WHEN DRIVING IN REVERSE AT NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO REPLACED THE SENSOR LIGHT BUT THE FAILURE EVENTUALLY RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
